《我们一家都是狮》(Between the Lions)系列儿童节目，主要的目的就是在教导学龄前儿童 “Phonics”(也称作 自然发音法，即不透过音标，直接由字母读音)，
以及培养儿童阅读兴趣。该节目讲述的是居住在图书馆里的奥尔狮子家族的故事，节目以丰富多变的形式，
重复突出的教一些英语词汇
每集里都有动画、布偶、真人并配以歌曲和活动变化的英文字卡，让孩子在热闹开心的气氛下，掌握准确的发音，并找到阅读的窍门和增加学习的兴趣。

我们一家都是狮 Between the Lions”是PBS kids频道为了提高儿童阅读能力而设计的电视动画片系列，主要是引导学龄前儿童掌握自然拼读同时培养阅读兴趣。节目以丰富多彩的技巧，结合动画、布偶和真人形式，配以音乐和卡片,重复突出的学习英语词汇，让孩子在热闹开心的气氛下，掌握准确的发音，找到阅读的窍门，并增加学习兴趣。
这个系列曾经7次获得艾美奖，和“单词女孩”、“跳跳蛙”、“单词世界”、“好奇超人”等系列一样，是阅读引导主题中广受好评的经典动画片。
“我们一家都是狮 Between the Lions”从2000年4月到2010年11月期间在PBS kids频道播出，历时十年共播出10季130集，其中除了第一季30集、第二季25集、第四季5集外，其他7季都是每季10集。每集26分钟左右，适合3岁以上开始学习阅读的孩子。
